Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2025

1. Introduction

DoubleSprint ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or purchase our products.

We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa and other applicable data protection laws.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Contact information: Name, email address
  • Account information: Username, password (encrypted)
  • Newsletter subscriptions: Email address and preferences
  • Communications: Messages you send us via email or contact forms

2.2 Payment & Transaction Information

We use third-party Merchants of Record (MoR) to process payments. The data we receive varies by platform:

  • Web (Paddle): Paddle collects your payment details, billing address, and tax information directly. We do not have access to your full credit card number. Paddle shares your name, email address, country, and product details with us so we can fulfil your order.
  • Mobile (Apple/Google): App Stores typically do not share your billing details, name, or email address with us. We receive an anonymous transaction receipt (token) that validates your purchase. We generally cannot link an in-app purchase to a specific person unless you create a DoubleSprint account inside the app.

By purchasing our products, you acknowledge that your data will be processed by the applicable MoR in accordance with their privacy policies:

  • Paddle Privacy Policy
  • Apple Privacy Policy
  • Google Privacy Policy

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:

  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, device type
  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, referring website

When you download, install, or use our software applications, we may automatically collect:

  • Usage & Telemetry: Anonymous data regarding feature usage, session duration, and configuration settings to help us improve product stability.
  • Crash Reports: Technical logs generated when an application malfunctions (e.g., stack traces), which may include device specifications.
  • License Validation: Technical identifiers (such as a unique device fingerprint) to validate your license key and prevent piracy.
